Terms of Use

Last updated October 1, 2026

Heirsy ("we") sells downloadable self-help materials and an online document builder for Texans preparing an affidavit of heirship. By purchasing or using them, you agree to these terms.

Not legal advice

Heirsy is not a law firm. Nothing we sell or publish is legal advice, and using our materials does not create an attorney-client relationship. Our document builder fills in your answers; it does not determine who your heirs are or whether an affidavit of heirship is right for your situation. If you are unsure, consult a Texas attorney.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for the statements made in any affidavit you sign. An affidavit of heirship is a sworn statement.

License

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own family's matter. You may not resell or redistribute them.

Refunds

See our refund policy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Heirsy's liability for any claim relating to our materials is limited to the amount you paid us.
